(Palette) knives at the ready!

I’m taking my practice out of the studio and into The Art Studio.

Join me this fall at The Art Studio at CANO for a cold wax painting workshop held over four Saturdays, October 21–November 11. You’ll explore this versatile medium with me, learning to use the tools, materials, and techniques essential for making luminous, layered cold wax paintings.

Extended hours

The most common feedback I get from students is that they would like more time to work during class. It is frustrating to run out of time just as you’re getting into the zone!

So, the extended class time in this workshop will allow you more work time to focus and develop your practice and see where your painting takes you.

Meet me at 354 Main in Otego, NY

I’m honored to be able to show some of my work at 354 Main, a gem of a shop in the foothills of the Catskills in Otego, NY.

The opening reception and meet the artist will be held the weekend of July 1st, at 11–4 on both Saturday and Sunday. This coincides with the Stagecoach Run Art Festival being held just over the hill in Franklin, NY.

Stop by on your tour of local art and browse the expertly curated collection of local artisan crafts, Hudson Made apothecary, and one-of-a-kind objects. I hope to see you there.

Going National

My work is getting a lot of exposure this summer. In addition to a piece appearing in a regional art show, another of my paintings has been chosen for a national juried exhibit. Narcissus is going to the 88th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition at Cooperstown Art Association Galleries.

I am looking forward to seeing the other work on display; the exhibition runs from July 7 to August 11.

While some may believe that casting a wider net produces a richer harvest, I have found quite a few jewels at all of the CAA’s exhibitions. It seems that artistic talent is an abundant resource here north of the Catskills. I am grateful to have the opportunity to show my work with area artists as well as artists from around the country.
